Basic vs Premium geocaching.com Users
There are some major differences between Basic and Premium members.
Basic Members
Basic geocaching.com members pay nothing to use the geocaching.com services but have certain limits on what they can do. The main limitations on Basic members are:
- Limit of 3 full cache downloads per day
- Limit of 10,000 lite caches per day
- Cache types viewable are traditional and events
- Caches designated premium only are not available
- Cannot award favorite points
- Pocket Queries are not available
- Online lists are not available
Premium Members
- Limit of 16,000 full cache downloads per day
- Limit of 10,000 lite caches per day
- View all cache types including Premium only caches
- Award favorite points
- Pocket Queries created on geocaching.com and downloaded in Cachly.
- Online lists
Lite vs Full Cache Download
Lite caches only include basic information about a cache such as the title, terrain, difficulty, size and coordinates. Full cache data includes hint, description, attributes, waypoints, and logs.
