PRO - Offline Maps

Pro Offline Maps are a subscription (as part of Cachly Pro or Offline Maps Only) for Cachly that provide offline beautiful vector maps of the entire world. Downloads are available by tapping the map layers icon on the map, or by going to Settings > Cachly Pro > Download Offline Maps.

These maps use data from Open Street Maps and have been designed for speed, readability and ease of use. 

Contours & Hillshades

These extras can be downloaded in addition to the basemap. They can also be turned off it needed and elevations will be updating when switching between metric and imperial systems.


Layer Options

You will have the ability to control what layers you see on the map. For example, if you don’t want to see trails or 3D buildings, you can turn those off. Points of Interest can also be customized.


3D Maps

County Lines and Names

County lines and names are shown for US states as well as for other countries that use the same boundary in Open Street Maps. They are still shown at a low zoom level, which makes viewing almost an entire state’s county lines possible.

Offline Searching

User can now search for map features of offline maps, all while completely offline. Searching is contained to what you see on the screen, so make sure to set your target area by zooming in or out.


Note: Offline Searching can be performed on the Live tab when an offline map is selected.

Trail Symbols, Colors & Distance

Offline maps now show trail colors and symbols for trails that have that information. This data comes from Open Street Maps and is part of the osmc:symbol  tag. This option can be turned off.

Bold Colors

Brighter and bolder colors are available for all road types. This was created to closely match Ordnance Survey map colors in the UK.

Map Update Frequency

United States, Great Britain, Germany, Australia and Switzerland are updated every two weeks. Other countries are updated every few months.
